The founding service is deliberately simple. These answers explain the current format, scope and next steps without requiring you to share sensitive learner information.
How Long Is a Tutoring Session?
The standard founding-pilot appointment is 60 minutes, including the first session. A different session length may sometimes be discussed before a session is confirmed when it better suits the learner and the tutoring plan.
What Does Tutoring Cost?
The current rate is $60 CAD per 60-minute session, before any legally applicable tax. Tutoring is billed per session; there are no prepaid packages or standing discounts during the founding pilot.
Can I Book Immediately Online?
No. New clients begin with a brief enquiry. We review subject fit, capacity, delivery mode and broad availability before any appointment is authorized. Unrestricted public self-booking is not enabled at launch.
Is Tutoring Available Online and in Person?
Online tutoring is part of the founding service. In-person tutoring is limited to approved, transit-accessible third-party locations in Calgary. A specific venue will not be advertised as available until its permission and operating fit are confirmed.
Which Learners and Subjects Can Be Supported?
Potential learners include elementary, junior-high, high-school, postsecondary and adult learners. Most K–12 subjects can be considered; mathematics is available through Grade 9, while chemistry and physics are not offered. Selected business courses can also be considered based on course fit and our founder’s business-degree background. See the current subject scope or ask about course fit.
Does Beyond Potential Diagnose Learning Disabilities?
No. Beyond Potential provides tutoring and educational support. It does not provide diagnosis, therapy, psychological assessment or guaranteed outcomes. A diagnosis also does not automatically determine one teaching method.
Should I Send Assessments or School Records with My Enquiry?
No. A first enquiry only needs the learner’s age or post-secondary level, subject or course area, preferred format and broad availability. Do not send diagnoses, medical history, school records, learning plans or assessment documents through the public website or social media.
Will the Tutor Complete Assignments for the Learner?
No. Tutoring may explain, model, question, guide practice and give feedback, but it will not impersonate the learner or complete work that applicable course rules require the learner to produce independently.
